In early July, I became a dad.

Jennifer and I welcomed our daughter, Summer, into the world—healthy, curious, and deeply loved.

Everyone tells you it changes everything, and they’re right. Sleep is scarce. Time feels different. My days now revolve around feedings, stroller walks, and figuring out how to swaddle with one hand—and I wouldn’t trade any of it.

It’s surreal to hold someone who will one day have her own opinions about the world, and humbling to know I get to help shape that. Parenthood has already given me a new perspective—on time, patience, and what it really means to design a life.

The world
feels warmer now.
