With GhostPicks now live and the early days of fatherhood (somewhat) stabilizing, I’ve finally carved out a bit of space for some new projects—and a little overdue play. Read the GhostPics blog post or check out my recommendations page I'm working on (the thing I literally built GhostPics for).
Here’s what’s on the horizon:
🎮 Steam Deck
I picked up a Steam Deck mainly as a way to game without being tethered to my desk—and it’s been exactly what I needed. Between emulators and a massive backlog of indies and AAAs, it’s given me space to unplug in short bursts and reconnect with why I fell in love with games in the first place. Expect a post on my setup, loadout, and what’s been stealing my attention.
🕹️ Analogue Pocket
On the completely other end of the spectrum: the Analogue Pocket. This thing is a love letter to Game Boy fans, and I’ve been having a blast with the physicality of carts again. I’ve also been digging into GB Studio and a few homebrew projects. It’s a little machine that brings a lot of joy.
🖨️ Prusa CORE One
The newest addition to the workshop: Prusa’s CORE One. It’s fast, beautifully engineered, and dangerously addictive. I’ve already got a few practical prints in the queue—but I’m also itching to push it with some potential hardware projects in the future?
📷 Olympus XA3
Also picked up an Olympus XA3, a compact 35mm point-and-shoot that I’ve had my eye on for a while. It’s en route from Japan as I write this. Once it arrives and I’ve burned through a few rolls, I’ll post a hands-on breakdown of how I feel about it. If you want to follow along with scans, shoots, and film experiments, I’ve started a new photo-only feed: @seths.photos on Bluesky.
🧪 Other Funsies
These will be getting their own writeups soon:
- Me and my team at CLEAR won two Red Dot awards.
- A font manager for Windows that I've been working on with my friends the last... several months.
- And maybe a little bit of zine energy with a very particular 90's piece of camera tech.
This next stretch is about building more and building slower, following curiosity, and documenting what I learn along the way—even if it’s just for myself (and maybe a few of you).
More soon!
